I will be one poet in a lineup for this First Friday poetry event. Come out and enjoy hearing multiple poets read from their collections!
I will be in conversation with prolific poet, essayist, and professor Gaylord Brewer, whose most recent book is the essay collection Before the Storm Takes It Away. We will be in the Nolichucky Room of the Tennessee State Library, and a book signing will follow.
I hope you come out to this book festival—one of the oldest in the country—to enjoy the performance stages and food trucks, chat with publishers and booksellers, meet authors, and buy tons of books!
I will be September’s “Poet of Most Dubious Honor” at this new poetry series that brings the fun and unexpected back into poetry readings. In fact, it’s not a reading—it’s a party.
